Luke 17:5 (5)  And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

In Luke 17 we find the apostles asking for an increase in faith.  The increase in faith that they asked for was pertintent to them staying connected to Jesus and representing HIS teachings and the Kingdom of God. If they did not get faith in this area they could no longer preach the gospel or maintain favor with the Father. They did not ask for faith for a business ,a home, a car, neither a financial or physical healing or any other type of what we would call a blessing today.

Faith for the Constant Admission of Hurt & Forgiveness

They asked for faith to graduate to a level of forgiveness that was commanded of the Savior for them to operate in Kingdom Maturity. They needed to use their prayer life to get to the next level being required from their lives. Luke 17:1-5 (1)  Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! (2)  It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. (3)  Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. (4)  And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. (5)  And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. May our prayer times with the Father graduate us to levels of Kingdom maturity and proper representation of our Savior and HIS teachings.
